The problem
The operator ran a five-page brochure website with a contact form. Every quote required a phone call, the office could only answer between 9am and 6pm, and roughly 40% of enquiries arrived outside those hours and were never converted. Pricing was quoted manually from a printed table, which caused inconsistent fares and disputes at drop-off. On mobile the site scored 31 on Lighthouse performance, and the booking form had a 78% abandonment rate. Competitors with instant online quotes were winning the airport-run market on comparison sites while this operator relied on repeat customers and a shrinking base of corporate accounts.
What we built
We built a postcode-to-airport quote engine with distance-based pricing rules, vehicle classes, meet-and-greet and child-seat add-ons, and flight-number tracking so pickups adjust automatically to delays. Payments run through Stripe with a deposit-or-full-payment choice, and confirmation goes out by email and SMS instantly. A driver dispatch dashboard replaced the paper diary, and an admin panel lets the owner edit fares, blackout dates and surcharges without a developer. The front end was rebuilt for speed — server-rendered pages, compressed imagery, sub-second first paint — and structured data was added so quotes and reviews appear in Google results.
“We used to lose every job that came in after the office closed. Now the site quotes and takes payment while we sleep.”
